A cake to take “pride” in!
The customer’s request was for a cake featuring an African sunset with plenty of animals all the way around, and the essential feature were the lions. The customer supplied examples of cakes she had seen and liked, and the tree featured heavily in these, and so we decided that the topper should include the tree as well as the lions.
The sunset was created using an airbrush and some masking, and then the silhouettes added in black spray using a combination of some stencils I had previously bought, and some that I cut myself.
Overall, I think the best sunset cake I have made so far – both myself and the customer were extremely pleased with the final look of it.
