A dummy cake which I made for a wedding fayre – works well as a small wedding cake, or an extravagant birthday cake. In all there are around 20 roses on this one, the cake sizes are 10″ shallow bottom tier and a tall 6″ top tier. The pattern on the sides is a product called “cake lace” which I coloured black in this instance. The pictures are a bit deceptive colour-wise as although it looks quite pink, the base colour is actually a deep, almost maroon, red and the roses are a deep black. One of my favourite colour combinations personally, but adaptable to suit the customer’s own taste.
