Another cupcake tower, this for a lovely lady who happens to be a colleague in my day job. She had already found some cupcake ideas she liked with the colour scheme being turquoise and yellow and some simple flowers and sprinkles and had in mind a ruffle style decoration for the top cutting cake.
The top cake was a extra tall fruit cake and together we decided on the style of decoration being a heart made out of small icing ruffles, graduating in shades of turquoise. The top cake was quite heavy and, therefore, the stand had to be set up at a lower height than usual so that the weight didn’t make it unstable, so the cupcakes are grouped quite closely together on the lower tiers. In situ it looked just right, and there was plenty of cake for all of the guests, whether they preferred fruit cake or sponge.
