As time has gone on, I have made a lot of variations on my original Garden cake, it seems a very popular theme – here are the ones I’ve made so far…
The original – made for a 70th birthday, the design based on an actual garden including a visiting robin on the bird bath, the new puppy on the path and the pesky mole in the lawn! The trees are cake pops, the soil is Oreo cookies, and the shingle path is made from chocolate HobNobs. Continuing the soil theme, the cake is a rich chocolate sponge. The trees around the sides are made from modelling chocolate.

Another 40th – this time incorporating the recipient’s car, which he apparently parks on the grass of his garden at home….made to look a little “worn” as per the request!
