“Shaped” cakes are not really my speciality so when I was asked to make a cake in the shape of a lorry, I wasn’t sure whether to take the order – but I can’t seem to say no to a challenge sometimes. This was for a lorry driver’s birthday and I was supplied with a photo of his actual lorry to work from. Quite difficult for me to do, and definitely out of my comfort zone, but I think it ended up ok – at least the recipient was happy with it and that is something that is always nice to know.
