For a little girl who’s been taking riding lessons, and loving it – the customer provided pictures of the pony she rides, and I worked through some online tutorials I found. I’ve never made a horse or pony before but after a bit of practice I felt up to the challenge! I added the fences and jumps around the sides to give some interest, and for the first time I used my airbrush to spray the whole cake green instead of colouring the icing – rather quicker and with a much better finish by my consideration too.
Having seen photos of this one, another customer ordered a similar cake for her daughter, this time with a black pony which had to have a white star on its forehead.
