A very loose brief, for the wife of a customer – no particular flavour, colour, or style specified, all I knew was her age! Ruffle style flowers were suggested by a “cakey friend” so I had a bit of a practice and really liked the results. I also had the chance to try out a sample of icing lace that I had been sent as a trial, and the two combined resulted in what I considered a very pretty cake, then I just had to hope that she liked my choice of colours!
Thankfully the gentlemen concerned contacted me later to say that his wife loved the cake, so it seems we may have similar taste!
