Its not often a cake maker gets a request for a cake for a 100th birthday, and it is always an honour. This is actually the second 100th birthday cake I’ve made, this time for a gentleman who is a keen supporter of Arsenal FC. I don’t usually use printed toppers for my cakes, but this was quite a short notice order, and it was the best way of accurately reproducing the logo. I added some hand-painted gold accents onto the printed logo too. It may look like the logo is quite small in comparison to the size of the cake, and its difficult to show a sense of scale in a photo but this was a mammoth 12″ square cake for a party and the log was almost the width of an A4 sheet of paper!
