Hello Kitty themed cake for a little girl who was 5 today. She chose the design from a picture she had seen, and I adapted it so as not to do a direct copy and make it more individual for her. The bow is from the original, the flowers are mine, and the banner at the front. Quite a fun cake to do, and I was quite envious of the recipient, as she had chosen a devils food cake inside, with two layers of ganache – a new recipe that I tried, and it looked delicious. The space in the middle was left clear for a pretty Hello Kitty number 5 candle.
A second Hello Kitty cake was made for a friend whose daughter was a year old – it travelled all the way to Coventry!
