This cake was an unusual one in that it was designed by the recipients – two young ladies, who would be sharing a birthday party. The zebra pattern, and coloured stripes are nothing new as far as cake design in itself, but go well together on this cake – as well as the different coloured balls around the base. What really sets is apart is their choice of cake topper, being a cocktail glass which I filled with various things including feathers, sparkles, dragonflies, ages and silver and black nonpareils. I ordered a bulk pack of the cocktail glasses and the remaining ones were used as table decorations at the party too, so tying everything together.
